Kazuo is the product of two worlds — Born in the US and raised in Japan by a single mother, Kazuo bounced from house to house, school to school, from Yokohama to New York City. This nomadic upbringing instilled in him a yearning for belonging, a feeling he now channels into his powerful lyricism and echoing bass.

The Black & Japanese producer & artist began his music journey while in university, performing at local open mics and showcases. His debut mixtape, “AKUMA”, exploded onto the underground scene leading to a deal with Warner Music Japan.

Now, Kazuo walks his own path, a one-man force crafting music that defies labels. Unafraid of alienation, he uses it to fuel his raw sound – a sound that resonates with those who ever felt like they didn't quite fit in.

This is Kazuo.
